“Cubism” Schroder’s Big Bannd at Kelvin Club on Tuesday 2 October CD launch

this is a group email to let you know about our CD launch of the
double CD
“Cubism”
Tuesday Octtober 2 at the Kelvin Club
Melbourne Lane (off Russell St on the east side between Bourke and Lt
Collins Sts)

The CD was recorded live at this very same place over 2 nights, one in
December 2014 , the other December 2016.

The CD will be on sale at the launch (cash))

Set 1 7.30 pm
small band with Ken and the rhythm section
Set 2 9pm
big
band set

The repertoire will be a mix of the “hits” from the CD including
“Cubism” and “miles Ahead”
but as usual there’ll be a brand new tune as well.
this time it’s “Reflections of a Wattle Tree” written by Lew Campbell
and played on recording by Bryce rohde.
I’ve orchestrated it , a big band version of what was a miniature
played in a piano trio.
